Community Projects Helps

The purpose of this project is to identify all persons possible in each photos.  The second step is to tag (attach) each photo or audio file to the person to whom it applies.  This might include multiple persons.    Please note: These should only be attached to deceased persons in FamilySearch.

Basic instructions.

Identify the person in the photo.  (one can add the names into the comment section if not wishing to do the tagging)

Click the photo to add the person name as a tag.

Enter the person's name. Select from the list provided or click "add new"

Find the ID of the person in FamilySearch  (If the person can't be found, one can be created for those persons known to be deceased)

Then click "Attached to Family Tree" if needed.

Extra items:  Add title- name of person or event

Add date - if able to figure it out

Add description- obituary, World War II newspaper clipping, etc.

Add place-   Burley, Cassia, Idaho, United States

Also from the obituary and World War II clippings- please add the following into the description section. "This image has been provided by collections from the Burley Family History Center."

For all other images- please add the following in to the description section. "This image has been provided by the Cassia County Historical Society Museum."

All of these steps will be completed for each of the entries.   Feel free to do whichever of the steps you wish to complete.
