How it all began....

As a family history center, it seems only fitting that the first post should be about our history. In the files found at the center,  there are newspaper clippings dating back to 1961.  But the official agreement with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was dated 26 July 1965.

The first microfilm reader came in March 1961.  At that time the center was known as the Magic Valley Genealogical Society.

September 1961, the center is granted a charter.
