Split of Church Accounts and FamilySearch Accounts
Church Accounts can be used to sign into FamilySearch and for the Discovery Screens at the center (This is a recent new option.) Username and passwords can be retrieved using a Membership Record Number, email or text number used to set up the account.
FamilySearch accounts are necessary for signing into the FamilySearch apps. Username and passwords can be retrieved using the email or text number used to set up the account.
Other Tips
It's best if each account has a unique email address
If you share an email for multiple accounts, it will create issues when attempting to retrieve username and passwords via email.
Helping someone else create an account
It's best to have everyone create their own account. That way all changes made reflect on their account.
When helping someone create an account, make sure they record their username and password in a safe place so they can use it in the future.
